General Information

The reclaimed wood, Pitch Pine and solid Oak flooring can usually be delivered within 7-10 working days and possibly sooner in less busy periods. However some of our engineered oak boards especially the hand crafted boards can take 4 – 9 weeks.  Please ring to check availability and lead times.

Payment must be made in full to confirm a delivery.  If the lead time is over 5 weeks, we can take a 20% deposit, but payment must be made in full 3 weeks before the delivery date.

Payment can be made by BACS, Visa, Mastercard, cash and cheque.

Please also allow 2 weeks acclimatisation for both new and reclaimed woods – preferably in the room where the wood is to be laid. Most of the new wood has a moisture content of 8-10% and this is checked on leaving the timber yard.

It is very important that the flooring is laid correctly and ultimately it is up to the professional floor layer to decide, on the basis of their experience and site conditions, the most suitable method. We are however happy to give you guidelines for laying the floor if you are laying it yourself.

Please allow 10% wastage on both reclaimed and new floors.

Delivery is by a pallet transport company and will be what is termed as “kerb side” delivery. This means that the flooring will not be brought into a property and it is up to the customer to make sure they are available to sign for the order and have help available. We will always endeavour to arrange a  delivery date to suit the customer although we cannot be held responsible for any delays beyond our control.
